Winchester leads Cincy to 2-0 lead

Cincinnati Reds 3B Marc Winchester belted three homeruns in Game 2 of the Play-In round against Philadelphia to lead the Reds to a 12-4 stomping and a 2-0 series lead over the Athletics. Two of Winchester's bombs came off Philadelphia starter Rolando Fuentes who was shelled, allowing nine earned runs in 5.1 innings of work.

In other playoff action, Don Bale was shaky in his first career playoff start, giving up five runs in eight innings of work against Milwaukee. But Bale and Toronto would pick up the 11-5 win thanks in part to 5 RBIs from SS Kelvin Daniels. Toronto now holds a 2-0 series lead over the Bondsmen.

The Augusta Pounders and Louisville Flame Throwers each won Game 2 to even their respective series at 1-1 a piece.
